Getting Started

Overview of the Pace Tracker app

The Ranger Pace Tracker helps golf course rangers monitor and manage the pace of play across all parties on the course.

What You Can Do

  • Track Parties – Add parties as they tee off and track their progress hole-by-hole
  • Monitor Pace – See at a glance which parties are on pace, ahead, or behind
  • Issue Warnings – Log warnings for slow parties with timestamps
  • Add Notes – Keep notes on any party for reference
  • View Analytics – Access the dashboard for course-wide statistics
💡 Pro Tip
Data auto-refreshes every 30 seconds. Tap the party card header to expand or collapse details.

Course Stats

Understanding the summary cards

The Course Stats section shows three key metrics at a glance:

On Course

Total number of active parties currently playing. This excludes finished parties.

On Pace

Number of parties currently maintaining expected pace or running ahead. A healthy course should have most parties on pace.

Alerts

Number of parties running behind pace. Click this card when alerts > 0 to see which parties need attention and how far behind they are.

⚠️ Alert Thresholds
Parties are flagged when they fall more than 10 minutes behind expected pace. Severely behind parties (20+ minutes) require immediate attention.

Add New Party

Adding parties to track

Click Add Party to register a new group as they begin their round.

Party Information

  • Party Name – Optional identifier (e.g., "Smith Group", "10:30 Foursome")
  • Number of Players – Affects pace expectations (larger groups = more time)
  • Cart/Walking – Walking parties have different pace targets
  • Cart Count – Number of carts being used
  • Tee Time – Scheduled start time for pace calculations
  • Starting Hole – Usually 1, but can be 10 for shotgun starts
💡 Quick Add
For fast entry, only the player count is required. Other fields have smart defaults.
