Karen Williams

Karen has spent the past twelve years running operations for festivals, conferences, and stadium events as an independent consultant — multi-day music festivals in the western US, regional comic conventions, college-town tournament weekends, and a long stretch of large faith-community gatherings. She works the strange middle ground between security planning, capacity planning, and "we have one guy at the gate with a clicker."

She is comfortable on a radio at 2 a.m. when the gate count and the box-office number do not match and is genuinely fascinated by the mathematics of crowd flow.
