How a duel works
- Pick your pitch or your swing. Each turn you both have 10 seconds. The hitter picks three connected squares of the strike zone to swing at (or takes the pitch). The pitcher picks one square to throw to — in the zone or just off it.
- Reveal. If the pitch lands in a swing square, it's contact — and where it lands decides the hit (sweet spot = extra bases & home runs; corners = weak contact). Just off the swing is a foul; way off is a swinging strike. Take a pitch in the zone for a called strike, or out of the zone for a ball.
- Keep score. Four balls walk, three strikes is out, hits drive in runs. Three outs and you swap — hitter becomes pitcher. Most runs after your chosen innings wins.
