Privacy Policy
How Nowaitn Corporation collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use DigitalTallyCounter.com — and the choices you have.
Contents
1. Scope & who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Nowaitn Corporation, a Delaware corporation ("Nowaitn," "we," "us"), handles personal information in connection with DigitalTallyCounter.com and related tools (the "Service"). Nowaitn is the controller of the personal information described here. By using the Service, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — such as your email address and password when you register.
- Content you create — counts, scores, match and timer data, names or labels you enter, and shared-link data. On free tools used without an account, this is stored locally in your browser; with an account and cloud sync, it is stored on our servers.
- Payment information — when you buy a plan or pack, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment details. We receive limited information such as the last digits and type of card and the status of the transaction; we do not store full card numbers.
- Communications — messages you send us, support requests, chatbot conversations, reviews, and feedback.
Information we collect automatically
- Device & usage data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, links clicked, and timestamps.
- Cookies & identifiers — see the cookies section below.
Information from third parties
- Analytics and advertising partners may share information about your interactions with the Service and across other sites; payment and authentication providers may share account or transaction information.
3. Cookies & similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and serve and personalize advertising. Some cookies are necessary for the Service to function; others are for analytics and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through the consent controls we present. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Service works.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Service and your account;
- Process payments and manage subscriptions;
- Personalize, develop, and improve features, and build new ones;
- Measure performance and understand how the Service is used;
- Serve and measure advertising, including personalized advertising;
- Communicate with you about the Service, updates, and support;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security, and technical issues;
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms; and
- For any other purpose disclosed to you or with your consent.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on these legal bases: performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service and our business; your consent (for example, for certain advertising cookies); and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Advertising & analytics
The free Service is supported by advertising. We use analytics and advertising providers — including Google (Google Analytics and Google's advertising products) — to understand usage and to serve and measure ads, including ads personalized to your likely interests. These providers may set their own cookies and use identifiers to build profiles across websites and apps.
Under some laws (notably California's CCPA/CPRA), the use of advertising cookies to deliver cross-context behavioral advertising can be considered "selling" or "sharing" personal information, even when no money changes hands. You can opt out using our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, and you can manage Google's ad personalization through Google's own settings.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information in these ways:
- Service providers / sub-processors — companies that help us run the Service under our instructions (see the table below).
- Advertising & analytics partners — as described above, which may constitute "sharing"/"selling" under certain laws.
- People you share with — when you create a shared counter or match link, the relevant data is available to those you share it with.
- Legal & safety — when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Nowaitn, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your consent — or at your direction.
| Provider | What they help with |
|---|---|
| Google (Analytics & Ads) | Traffic analytics and serving / measuring advertising |
| Stripe | Payment processing and fraud prevention |
| Cloud hosting & infrastructure providers | Running our servers, storage, and content delivery |
| Email & communications providers | Sending transactional and support email |
This list may change as our providers do. For the current set or a data processing agreement, contact legal@digitaltallycounter.com.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. In general:
- Account & cloud-synced data — while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then deleted or de-identified.
- Billing records — for the period required by tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
- Logs, usage & analytics data — for a limited period for security, abuse-prevention, and measurement.
- Data stored only in your browser — stays on your device until you clear it; we don't hold a copy.
When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the associated personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it (for example, for tax, accounting, or legal reasons) or in routine backups for a limited time. Actual retention varies based on the criteria above.
8. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK), the CCPA/CPRA (California), and POPIA (South Africa), including the rights to:
- Know and access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information;
- Receive a portable copy of your information;
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising — via our Do Not Sell or Share page;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Object to or restrict certain processing; and
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.
To exercise any right, email legal@digitaltallycounter.com. We will verify your request (and an authorized agent's authority, if applicable) and respond within the time the applicable law requires. If we decline a request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our response. If you are in the EEA/UK and have a concern, you may also contact your local data protection authority.
EU/EEA & UK residents. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, you can also reach our privacy contact at eugdpr@digitaltallycounter.com.
Global Privacy Control (GPC). We treat a GPC signal sent by your browser or extension as a valid request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for that browser. See also our Do Not Sell or Share page.
Categories of personal information (California)
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. For each, the sources are you, your device/browser, and our analytics/advertising and payment providers; the purposes are those in "How we use information" above; and we disclose information to the providers and partners in "How we share information."
| Category | Examples | "Sold" / "shared" for ads? |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Email, IP address, device & cookie identifiers | Yes — via advertising/analytics cookies |
| Internet / network activity | Pages viewed, clicks, usage & interaction data | Yes — via advertising/analytics cookies |
| Commercial information | Plans/packs purchased, transaction status | No |
| Customer content | Counts, scores, names/labels you enter, messages | No (shared only with people you choose) |
| Inferences | Likely interests used for advertising | Yes — via advertising partners |
You can opt out of "sale"/"sharing" at any time via Do Not Sell or Share or a GPC signal. We do not knowingly "sell" or "share" the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.
Sensitive personal information. We do not collect or process sensitive personal information (as defined by the CPRA) in order to infer characteristics, and we do not "sell" or "share" sensitive personal information or use it for purposes that would trigger the right to limit.
9. International data transfers
We are based in the United States and use providers in the U.S. and other countries. When we transfer personal information across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards where required, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and the use of vetted providers such as Stripe for payments and cloud providers whose infrastructure is built to recognized security frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST). For accounts with cloud sync, your saved data is stored on that infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
These measures relate to our providers' infrastructure and to payment processing. The Service itself is not certified or compliant with NIST, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or any other framework, and no plan or subscription confers any such compliance or certification (see Terms of Service, "Compliance & certifications"). Please do not use the Service for data subject to special regulatory regimes (such as HIPAA-protected health information) unless we have agreed in writing. You can read more in our Trust Center.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy with a new "last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
