Tenzin Norbu

Buddhist Meditation Teacher

Independent meditation teacher trained in the Kagyu lineage, writing on daily-practice tools and the role of counting in mantra recitation.

Tenzin trained for nine years in retreat in the Kagyu lineage and now teaches at meditation centers and weekend retreats across North America. He resists the framing of meditation as productivity and is suspicious of any teacher who suggests there is an app for awakening — but he is quietly fond of the simple counting tools that have always been part of mantra practice, mala beads first and now their digital cousins.

His teaching is grounded in everyday practice for working laypeople, and his writing has the same flavor: short, specific, and refreshingly free of jargon.
