Course Tracker — Complete Guide
Course Tracker is your real-time command center for golf course operations. Track cart positions, monitor pace of play, broadcast updates to your team, and keep everything in sync.
Dashboard Overview
The dashboard is your main workspace. It displays all carts, groups, and walkers currently on the course as interactive cards.
- Card colors indicate pace status — green (on pace), yellow (slight delay), red (behind)
- Hole numbers show current position; tap to quickly update
- Warning badges appear when carts need attention
Header Bar
The header provides navigation and quick access to key functions:
- Back arrow — Return to the course hub or tracker list
- Course name — Shows current course and session info
- Settings gear — Opens course settings (General, Ops, Style, Users, Sharing, Config)
- Info button (?) — Opens this help page
Footer Toolbar
The footer is your action bar with five core buttons:
Events
Opens the event timeline showing all activity — cart sightings, warnings, check-ins, radio broadcasts. Use filters to narrow by event type or cart number.
Radio
The radio modal is for voice-to-text broadcast capture. When rangers call in positions over the radio:
- Tap
Start Listeningto begin voice capture - AI transcribes and extracts cart number, hole, and position
- Review the parsed data and tap
Applyto update the cart - Broadcasts are logged to the event timeline for accountability
Quick Spot
The fastest way to record a cart sighting:
- Tap the binoculars button
- Select the cart number from the grid
- Select the hole number
- Optionally select position (Tee, Fairway, Green)
- The cart's position updates instantly
Alerts
Quickly send pace warnings to specific carts or broadcast course-wide announcements. Alert history is tracked in the timeline.
Messages
Opens the team chat for internal communication between rangers and staff. Messages sync in real-time across all connected devices.
Cart Cards
Each cart on the course gets its own card showing:
- Cart number — Large, easy to read identifier
- Current hole — Where the cart was last spotted
- Position — Tee, Fairway, or Green (if known)
- Time on hole — How long since the last movement
- Pace indicator — Color-coded status bar
Card Actions
Tap a cart card to reveal the action menu:
- Update Position — Move the cart to a new hole
- Send Warning — Issue a pace warning to this cart
- Add to Group — Link this cart with others in a party
- Mark Finished — Cart has completed the round
- View History — See all events for this cart
Groups & Walkers
Groups
Groups let you track multiple carts and walkers as a single party. When you update one member's position, the entire group moves together.
- Create a group from any cart card's action menu
- Add additional carts or walkers to the group
- Group pace is calculated based on the slowest member
Walkers
Players without a cart can be tracked as walkers. They appear with a walking icon and can be:
- Tracked independently
- Linked to a group
- Given the same pace warnings as carts
Settings Tabs
Access settings via the gear icon in the header. Tabs include:
- General — Course name, hole count, par times
- Ops — Operational settings like pace thresholds and warning rules
- Style — Visual customization, colors, and display options
- Users — Add team members, manage roles and permissions
- Sharing — Generate embed codes for TV displays and public views
- Config — Advanced preferences and data management
Pro Tips
- Use Radio for hands-free updates — Keep eyes on the course while AI does the typing
- Set up TV displays — Use the embed feature in Settings → Sharing to show live positions on clubhouse screens
- Review the timeline — Events provide an audit trail for end-of-day reporting
- Invite your team — Multiple rangers can update positions simultaneously with real-time sync
